Israel and Iraq are the only Middle Eastern countries to attend the online conference on December 9-10. The U.S.’s traditional Arab allies Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates have not been invited. Biden has invited Brazil, despite criticism that far-right President Jair Bolsonaro is authoritarian and a staunch supporter of Donald Trump.
