Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today (Thursday) received a number of congratulations from world leaders, on the occasion of his re-entry into the Prime Minister’s Office. The first of the congratulators was the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, and later, the blessing of the President of the United States Joe Biden also arrived.
The White House statement read: “The Israeli Knesset today approved a new Israeli government headed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. I look forward to working with Prime Minister Netanyahu, my friend for decades, to jointly face the many challenges and opportunities facing Israel and the Middle East region, including threats from Iran. The United States is working to promote a region that is increasingly profitable, prosperous and safe, for the benefit of all residents.”
The announcement also states that “From the beginning of my administration, we have worked with partners to promote this hopeful vision of a region at peace, including between Israelis and Palestinians. We aim to continue this important work with the new Israeli government led by Prime Minister Netanyahu.” On the other hand it says: “As we have done so far, the United States will continue to support the two-state solution and oppose policies that endanger its viability, or contradict our mutual interests and values.”
“Russia highly values your long-term personal contribution”
As mentioned, the first to congratulate was Putin: “Russia greatly appreciates your long-term personal contribution to strengthening the friendly relations between our countries. I hope that the new government under your leadership will continue the line of developing constructive Russian-Israeli cooperation in all areas for the benefit of our people, for the sake of ensuring peace and security in the Middle East region.” .

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote to Netanyahu: “Congratulations from the bottom of my heart on forming the government. Looking forward to working together to strengthen our strategic partnership.”
The government of Guatemala also issued a statement that read: “The government of Guatemala congratulates Netanyahu as Prime Minister of the State of Israel, and the head of it expresses his willingness to continue to act for the benefit of both nations.”
