US presidential candidate Donald Trump has expressed his views on the war in Ukraine and said that sanctions against Russia could be eased as part of his plan to end the war.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Trump noted that sanctions often isolate the United States, and he is not a supporter of them. While he found sanctions helpful in relation to Iran, he believes that even in this case their necessity was debatable.
Trump also recalled his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, stressing that during his presidency there was no threat of war and Putin would never have invaded Ukraine. He said that he personally warned Putin that such a step was unacceptable.
Trump believes the world has become more dangerous during the conflict in Ukraine, and he blames the current US President Joe Biden for this. Trump believes that Biden has brought Russia and China closer together, which he says are now working in a close alliance. Iran and North Korea have joined this alliance, Trump believes, and they no longer need the support of other countries.
Trump has repeatedly said that if elected, he could end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours. Bloomberg reported that his plan includes forcing Ukraine to negotiate with Moscow under the threat of cutting off military aid. On the other hand, Trump intends to force Russia to the negotiating table by threatening to increase arms supplies to Ukraine.
Earlier, “Kursor” reported that the condition of the victims of the assassination attempt on Trump became known. One of the victims has been fighting for his life in the hospital for the past few days.
