US President Joe Biden today (Tuesday) announced the intensification of sanctions against Russia, following the invasion of Ukraine. After stopping Russian operations in the global Swift banking system, Biden put the Russian gas and oil industry in the spotlight.
President Biden has ordered a ban on the import of coal and gas from Russia, which could hit the Russian economy hard, as part of Western countries’ efforts to ‘stifle’ it, to put Russia in a position where it will have to stop the fire.
