US President Joe Biden has issued a memorandum on the provision of military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of up to $200 million, according to the White House.

“I delegate powers to the Secretary of State <...> order the reduction of defense articles and services of the Ministry of Defense, as well as military education and training for a total amount of up to $200 million to assist Ukraine,” the document says.

At the end of February, after the start of the military operation in Ukraine, Biden issued a memorandum on the provision of immediate military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $600 million.

The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said on February 27 that the foreign ministers of the EU countries agreed on the supply of lethal weapons worth 450 million euros to Ukraine. Another 50 million euros will be allocated for “non-lethal weapons”, fuel and protective equipment, TASS reported.

The European Union takes an unfriendly stance towards Russia and is taking hostile measures, Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, told reporters. According to him, the supply of weapons to Ukraine could become a destabilizing factor that could have dangerous consequences in the long term.
