Summer, a 20-year-old from Michigan, dreams of being a school teacher, but her material conditions and the skyrocketing price of American universities prevent her from pursuing her desire. The degree she would like to take costs about $40,000, but at her job she earns 16 an hour and pays rent 1,500 a month. She could ask for a loan, but she has decided not to so as not to put her life at risk.
