The Buchholz-based company BIG Arbeitsschutz GmbH is now expanding the 4PROTECT product range in the field of protective clothing with new UV protection shirts made from the innovative lyocell fiber TENCEL. Recycled polyester is now also used in the high-visibility shirts.
The new and even safer 4PROTECT clothing reliably protects the wearer from dangerous solar radiation when working outdoors – for example in road construction, on runways or construction sites. As high-visibility workwear are the UV protection shirts Available in bright yellow and bright orange and in the classic workwear colors of blue, gray and black. Another new feature is that the high-visibility shirts MIAMI, ORLANDO und JACKSONVILLE can also be made with recycled polyester. BIG is thus taking another important GreenStep towards sustainability. Classic shirts with UPF 40+ protection and high-visibility shirts with UPF 50+ are certified against ultraviolet radiation from the sun.
Heiko Müller, sales manager for 4PROTECT: “With our new 4PROTECT UV protection shirts, we are taking account of the development that suspected skin cancer cases as an occupational disease to be taken very seriously in occupational groups that often work outdoors. At the same time, the new workwear convinces in addition to this protective function also in everyday life thanks to its functionality and optimum wearing comfort.”
The innovative lyocell natural fiber TENCEL gives the UV protection shirts excellent wearing properties in practice. Cellulosic fibers make the fabric silky soft, cool when it’s warm and warm when it’s cold. TENCEL can also absorb around 50 percent more moisture than cotton. This makes the 4PROTECT clothing comfortable to wear, as the skin stays dry even when you sweat heavily. The fiber is odour-inhibiting, dermatologically tested and also suitable for allergy sufferers. In terms of design, you can choose between a long-sleeved shirt, a polo shirt or a t-shirt, depending on your needs.
