This year’s matchup will pit Atlanta music legend Jermaine Dupri against former Braves catcher and three-time All-Star Javy Lopez, each managing a team through a five-inning contest.
Major League Baseball recently announced a wave of new additions to the roster, with a clear emphasis on celebrating local talent. Joining the game are: Big Boi, the iconic Atlanta rap artist; Kandi Burruss, a successful singer and entrepreneur; Ronnie DeVoe, an R&B star and member of New Edition; Mariah The Scientist, an Atlanta-born R&B artist; Funny Marco, a comedian and actor hailing from Atlanta; and Elle Duncan and Maria Taylor, both ESPN personalities with strong Atlanta ties.
