Big drop in Kovid cases in Saudi Arabia; 99 new cases

Riyadh: Kovid has confirmed 99 new recruits in Saudi Arabia. Of the current patients, 198 have recovered. Both deaths were newly recorded. The total number of Kovid cases reported in the country so far is 7,50,179 and the number of cases is 7,32,939.

This brings the total death toll in the country to 9,036. Currently, 8,204 people are being treated for the disease. Of these, 142 are in critical condition. They are being treated in various hospitals’ intensive care units across the country. In Saudi Arabia, the current Kovid release rate is 97.7 percent and the death rate is 1.2 percent. Number of newly reported cases in major cities of the country: Riyadh 24, Jeddah 14, Madinah 13, Makkah 7, Dammam 5, Ta’if 4, Abha 4, Hufuf 4.

Saudi Arabia calls for monitoring Ramadan

Riyadh: The Saudi Supreme Court has called on Muslims across the country to observe the start of the holy month of Ramadan. On Friday, April 1, according to the Umm al-Qura calendar, it is suggested to observe the lunar month on the evening of the 29th of Sha’ban.

The apex court also asked the concerned departments to be informed if the new moon appears. The Supreme Court has directed that those who see menstruation with the naked eye or through binoculars should inform the nearest court and record their testimony.
