Jamui: Malaypur police has seized 610 sacks of government rice worth nine lakhs which were being taken for black marketing. However, the truck was standing in a suspicious condition on the roadside and the driver and conductor fled on seeing the police. After this, when the police searched the truck, the sacks of rice loaded on it were covered with tarpaulin. During investigation, it was found that this rice was being taken for black marketing. Its market value is around nine lakh rupees.
Grain smuggling exposed
The most surprising thing is that this truck has two different number plates on its front and back. One number plate is of Jharkhand and the other is of Bihar. Block supply officer Nidhi Kumari said that during investigation it was found that this is rice given to the poor through the public distribution system shop. This was being transported by the mafia for black marketing.

The officer said that this is a very sad thing and no one involved in this incident will be spared at any cost. The government is providing many types of facilities to the poor and we are discharging our duty properly to provide those facilities to the people. But those who flout the rules in this way will not be spared.
FIR lodged in police station
The public distribution system vendors and others involved in selling this rice will also not be spared. In this case, an FIR has been registered on the written application of the block supply officer. The subdivisional police officer Satish Kumar said that strict action will be taken against the truck owner and all others involved in the black marketing of rice. At present, the police is investigating all the aspects related to this incident.
