Araria: Addressing a public meeting in Araria, Union Minister Giriraj Singh expressed concern that the Seemanchal region, especially Araria, is facing a serious demographic change due to the increasing number of Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators. He warned that Araria could become a “second Kashmir” if timely action was not taken. Addressing a public meeting during the ‘Hindu Swabhiman Yatra’ in Araria on Monday, Singh said Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators have turned India into a “dharamshala”.

He said that infiltration has gone out of control and cannot be tolerated. He said that NRC should be implemented in Araria. Singh claimed that the Hindu population is decreasing in many blocks of Seemanchal. He said that due to fear, Hindu families are worried about the future of their daughters and many Hindu men are being forced to change their attire for the safety of themselves and their families.

He said that the no man’s land situated on the Nepal border has been captured by Bangladeshi infiltrators. Giving examples of Bangladesh and Kashmir, Singh said that the world has seen what happened there. Singh said that till date we have not thrown a stone on Tajiya, but violence and being violent is also necessary to protect the religion. He said that there has been a rapid decline in the Hindu population since 1951. After Kishanganj, Araria is the second district where the population of Hindus has decreased.

He also made the people present in the public meeting swear not to give land to Bangladeshis. Singh said that some people are upset with his ‘Hindu Swabhiman Yatra’. He said that if Owaisi talks about unity of Muslims then it is secularism, but when we talk about unity of Hindus then we are rioters. He questioned why the administration decided the route for his rally through Hindu Gali.
