Muzaffarpur: The work of mutation in the zonal offices in Bihar is going to speed up. The symbolic strike of the CO on the call of Bihar Revenue Service Association has ended. The CO was not doing the work of mutation since July 18, due to which people were facing problems. However, now this work will start again in all the zonal offices from Wednesday.

CO should not be negligent in matters of mutation

Muzaffarpur DM Subrat Kumar Sen has instructed all COs not to be negligent in mutation cases. He said that unnecessary mutations should not be rejected. All COs have also been given the task of mutation cases. 18,161 mutation cases are pending in the district for more than 63 days. The DM has instructed all COs to settle all the cases by September 10. In the month of June, 80.61 percent of mutation cases have been settled. In this, Mushari region was at the forefront, where 105 percent of the cases were settled. At the same time, Meenapur had the worst performance, where only 47 percent of the cases were settled.

Show cause notice issued to such employees

Additional Collector Revenue has been directed to identify 5 such employees from each zone whose performance is poor. Show cause notices will be issued to such employees and if the reply is not found satisfactory, they can also be suspended. It was also found in the review that 180 cases of land measurement and 449 cases of issuing LPC are pending. DM has directed all COs to provide land to poor landless families as soon as possible.

Now mutation cases will be resolved quickly in Patna

Talking about Patna district, 600 to 700 mutation cases are settled daily in all the 23 zonal offices here. During the strike, this number had come down to 150 to 200. Bihar Revenue Service Association President Dheeraj Prakash said that from Wednesday all COs will settle mutation cases quickly. He also said that it is not right to blame only the COs. This matter will be discussed with the departmental officials after the legislative session.
