Went: Prashant Kishor‘s party Jan Suraj has announced its three candidates for the 2024 Bihar Assembly by-election. The party has fielded Professor Khilafat Hussain from Belaganj, Dr Jitendra Paswan from Imamganj and SK Singh from Tarari. PK has said that even before 2025, he will give a big message to the political parties of Bihar in 2024. Prashant Kishore announced these names in a press conference in Bodh Gaya. He said that Professor Khilafat Hussain from Belaganj, Dr. Jitendra Paswan from Imamganj and SK Singh from Tarari will be the candidates of Jan Suraj Party.

Why did PK bet on Dr Jitendra Paswan in Imamganj?

PK has made the contest interesting by making Dr. Jitendra Paswan the candidate from Imamganj. Jitendra Paswan will contest from Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party. Jitan Ram Manjhi was an MLA from Imamganj and is now a Lok Sabha MP and Union Minister.

Dr. Jitendra Paswan is a pediatrician and is known for his treatment at low fees. He served the people during the Corona epidemic. He has also been a former Mukhiya representative and former Panchayat Samiti representative.

Why did PK field Prof Khilafat Hussain in Belaganj?

The contest in Belaganj is also interesting because this seat has been a stronghold of RJD. Surendra Yadav was an MLA from here and is now an MP from Jehanabad. Jan Suraj has nominated Professor Khilafat Hussain from Belaganj, who has been the Chairman of the Mathematics Department at Mirza Ghalib College. It is believed that PK is trying to break the Muslim-Yadav equation in Belaganj.

Professor Khilafat Hussain was Professor of Mathematics at Mirza Ghalib College from 1976 to 2002. Earlier he was a Mathematics teacher at Azad High School, Chakand, Gaya from 1972 to 1976. His daughter-in-law Habiba bint Mansoor is a lecturer in zoology at Mirza Ghalib College and his son Muzaffar Ahmed Arman is a teacher of Persian at Mirza Ghalib College.

PK has already made SK Singh the candidate from Tarari.

PK’s strategy is to do a different kind of politics. Jitendra Paswan is a non-Manjhi Dalit face. SK Singh was made the candidate from Tarari earlier also, who can make a dent in the upper caste votes. Overall, PK has intensified the political stir by fielding its candidates on all three seats. Now it has to be seen who they make the candidate from Ramgarh.
