Katihar: A land dealer was shot dead. This man named Manish Thakur was shot by unknown miscreants on Bagna Service Road. At the time of the incident, Manish had gone with his friend Suraj Kumar to see his land near the four-lane. Suddenly the miscreants opened fire on them. Seriously injured Manish was rushed to Katihar Medical College by his friends, but the doctors declared him dead. Manish Thakur was a resident of Durgasthan of Katihar Nagar police station area. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the Mufassil and Nagar police station reached the spot. Also, the forensic team also inspected the spot and collected evidence.

Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer Abhijeet Kumar said that Manish Thakur is a resident of Durgasthan of Katihar Nagar Police Station area and he was a land dealer and worked in land business, who was shot and injured. After the incident, he was brought to KMCH where he died. According to the police, Manish was shot in the head. Some shells have also been recovered from the spot which are being investigated.
