Patna: Independence Day is being celebrated with great pomp in Bihar on Thursday. People are participating in this celebration with enthusiasm and passion. The main function was organized at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, where Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar hoisted the tricolor. Nitish Kumar said in his message to the public that there is rule of law in Bihar and work is being done in a phased manner regarding this. In his address, while he discussed his development work, he also targeted the opposition. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that since 2005, when he got the opportunity to work, work is being done for all religions and castes. While discussing jobs and employment, he said that within the next one year, 10 lakh people will be given employment. With this, the number of people getting employment will increase to 34 lakh.

Now we will give 12 lakh jobs instead of 10 lakhs- CM Nitish

The Chief Minister said that we had announced to provide 10 lakh government jobs, but by the end of this year we will provide 12 lakh government jobs. So far 10 lakh people have got government jobs, the process of appointment on two lakh posts has been completed. He said that work is also being done in the field of health. Before 2005, there was a lack of health centers in the state and the situation was very bad. But when we got a chance to work, we worked in the field of health department. Didi ki Rasoi was started for the food of patients in all the hospitals of the state. In 2003, the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee approved the construction of AIIMS in Patna. Later the central government approved the construction of AIIMS in Darbhanga. Now its construction work will start soon.

The roads of Bihar are sparkling clean

Regarding road construction, he said that many new roads including elevated roads and overbridges have been constructed. Construction work will continue in future as well. Regarding special state status and special financial assistance, he said that this demand is very old. The previous central government did nothing but in this budget, the central government has announced to give a huge amount in other areas including roads, tourism, flood protection. For this, he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also requested that such assistance should be continuously received.

Nitish Kumar gave a piece of his mind to Lalu’s family

The Chief Minister said that ever since we got the chance to rule, there is rule of law in the state. The government is working in a planned manner to control crime and improve law and order. He also talked about increasing the number of police. Earlier, on the occasion of Independence Day, the Chief Minister counted the achievements of the government and also took a dig at the family of RJD President Lalu Yadav. He said that some people make their wife the CM. They do not move ahead of the family, they keep thinking about their wife, son and daughter. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha along with Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav, BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal were also present. The main function was organized at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, where Chief Minister Nitish Kumar hoisted the flag and saluted the national flag. Tight security arrangements have been made for Independence Day.
