Patna: Bihar Police has so far arrested 13 people, including four candidates and their family members, in connection with the alleged question paper leak of the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) – Graduation held on May 5. The officers provided this information. Officials said that the investigation into the question paper leak case was handed over to the Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police on Friday.
13 arrested in NEET paper leak
According to the release issued by EOU, ‘Till now this case was being investigated by a special team of Patna Police. So far, a total of 13 people, including four candidates and their families, have been arrested. Apart from this, one of the arrested accused is also involved in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Teacher Recruitment Examination-3 question paper leak case.
All accused in custody
According to the release, ‘All the accused are in judicial custody and EOU officials will interrogate them in custody. Police have seized objectionable documents and electronic devices from the accused. The release said that the investigation so far has revealed that the question papers of NEET-Graduate and their answers were distributed to about 35 candidates even before the examination on May 5. According to the release, investigation into the matter is ongoing.
