Bilawal Bhutto while addressing the ceremony said that if we want our citizens to get immediate justice and there should be no difference between any province, then federal constitution is necessary.
He said that every province will have equal representation in the federal court, the chief justice of the federal court will be on rotation and every province will get its turn to represent its chief justice.
People’s Party Chairman said that 90% of the time is taken in 15% of political cases in our judicial system, if we want justice to be provided to the people then these institutions should be allowed to do their work.
He said that 58 2B and 63 A was a weapon in the constitution which was used to send the democratic governments home in an undemocratic way. done
He said that unfortunately, the court retained the power of 58 2B and sent the elected prime ministers home, the court retained the power to amend the constitution and they amended the constitution in the decision of 63 A. If you doubt the intention of the prime minister, any judge and any institution, then do it, but don’t doubt my intention, I will fight for the supremacy of the constitution myself and for this it is necessary that all the provinces get fair representation.
He said that we will continue to build a constitutional court so that no other prime minister is hanged on the throne and the people of this country get justice. In response to a question about floor crossing, he said that the system of the United States and the United Kingdom. Look, there is no such restriction that he is bound by his party policy and he is free to break his party line.
He said that he brought the amendment in 63A which was not there before, in which we said that we are members, the constitutional amendment and the budget, no confidence is bound to follow the line of his party but he is not doing it. If they wanted, they had the option to cast their own votes.
Bilawal Bhutto said that we wrote in it that if any parliamentarian breaks the party line and casts his vote on these important issues, then that vote will be counted, while neither we nor any court have this authority nor should it be. He should ban any parliamentarian from following the party line.
Chairman People’s Party said that 63A was decided under one objective, we don’t want floor crossing to be easy, we want severe punishment for those who do it and when there is a risk that in case of floor crossing If there is a by-election in his constituency, he will think about his vote.
He further said that when it is said that on floor crossing that parliamentarian will be disqualified for life and his vote will not count, it means you are forcing the member who does not like the budget or he Don’t agree with the terms of the IMF or agree to the constitutional amendment but then you are forcing him to vote on it by threatening him with life imprisonment.
