Bill Clinton Targets Donald Trump at Democratic Convention, Calls for Unity Behind Kamala Harris

by time news

Former President Bill Clinton targeted Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, during the Democratic Party convention in Chicago, accusing him of only thinking about himself.

In his speech, Clinton stated that there is a clear choice in the upcoming November presidential elections. “With him, it’s always ‘me, me, me,'” he said regarding Trump. “I know what is best for our country. Kamala Harris will work to solve our problems, seize our opportunities, reduce our fears, and she will ensure that all Americans, regardless of their vote, have the chance to pursue their dreams.”

Now that Joe Biden, 81, is no longer the Democratic candidate but Kamala Harris, 59, some Democrats are raising the issue of Trump’s advanced age. Clinton ironically pointed out that although he is the oldest in his family, he is “even younger than Donald Trump.” Both are 78 years old, but Trump celebrates his birthday in June while Clinton’s is in August.

Clinton served as President of the United States from 1993 to 2001. His wife Hillary, who ran for the presidency in 2016 against Trump, had already delivered a speech earlier at the Democratic Party convention.
