An event for aspiring ⁤leaders of the future of the bio industry will be held at Incheon Songdo Bio Cluster, which is emerging as the⁢ world’s largest ⁢biopharmaceutical ⁣production mecca. ⁢The ‘2024 ⁤Korea Bio Academy’, targeting students in‍ the 5th grade of elementary school through high school, will be held at companies and universities within the Incheon Global Campus (IGC)⁢ and Songdo Bio Cluster from Thursday, November 14 to Saturday, November 17.

Students participating in the Bio Academy, which is in its 4th year this year and co-hosted by Incheon City, Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, and Dong-A Ilbo since 2021,⁢ tour bio production sites,‍ directly participate in university experiments and practices, and become world-class scholars in the bio field. You can learn about the present and future of K-Bio‍ from them. This year, Lee Min-seop, Chairman of Eone Diagnomics (EDGC), who has a doctorate in genomics from Harvard Medical School, shared cutting-edge DNA analysis technology and⁤ the current status of the industry, and Professor Joo-yong Lee of Seoul National University’s College of Pharmacy ⁤presented ⁤a new technology ⁤for new drug development ⁣based on artificial intelligence⁢ (AI) and a bio simulation platform utilizing molecular ⁢dynamics. Explain at eye level. In addition, leading scholars such as⁢ Professor Wesley de Neve and Professor Shodan Rao from Ghent University in Belgium, who possess world-class biotechnology technology, will introduce cutting-edge bio trends such as bio data science and bio machine learning through lectures.

Youth who complete the academy are awarded certificates issued by Incheon City,⁣ Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, and Dong-A Ilbo. Excellent ⁣students are also issued letters of recommendation for⁣ admission to overseas universities. Application for participation is ‌on the website.
