France launched this Monday (23) the new scratch card game “Mission nature”, aimed at financing around 20 environmental protection or restoration projects selected by the French Biodiversity Office. The single scratch-off ticket sold in lotteries costs 3 euros, of which the government will collect 43 cents to allocate to the project printed on the scratch-off ticket. The initiative, which could seem well-intentioned, is, however, heavily criticized.
