The Natuurhulpcentrum collected dozens of sick or dead wild birds. “Unseen, and proof that we need to be careful.” Specialists also recognize the danger because the virus can mutate and spread to humans. “When you see a dead bird: don’t touch it,” advises Marc Van Ranst.
