On December 27, 1836, Valer Urublewski, one of the leaders of the uprising of 1863-1864, was born in the town of Zhaludok, not far from Shchuchyn in Lidchyna. On the eve of the uprising, Urublevski actively participated in the creation of an illegal revolutionary organization in the Horaden region, conducted propaganda among school students.
