On his 80th birthday in February, Fulda’s bishop em. Heinz Josef Algermissen refrained from personal gifts and instead asked for donations for the episcopal relief fund “Mothers in Need”. Now he gave a check to the relief fund.

Fulda – It was with great pleasure that Fulda’s bishop em. Heinz Josef Algermissen handed over a total of 7366.38 euros to the Episcopal Aid Fund “Mothers in Need”. This was reported by the diocese of Fulda on Wednesday (March 29) in a press release.

According to the information, the high amount had added up because many donors had responded to Algermissen’s call and request, refrained from personal gifts for his 80th birthday and had made a generous donation instead.
