The emergency services responded to a fire in an apartment building on Monday afternoon. A caller reported open flames at the scene, and four fire engines, an ambulance, and several police cars arrived. Smoke divers and a ladder truck were also sent to extinguish the fire on a burning balcony, which had spread to the balcony above. The emergency services estimated that it would take around 20 minutes to put out the fire. It was at 16:09 on Monday afternoon that the emergency services were alerted to a fire in an apartment building.

According to GP’s reporter on the spot, there were four fire engines at the scene as well as an ambulance and several police cars. A ladder truck was sent up and extinguished the fire on a burning balcony. Smoke divers were also at the scene and several people gathered at the apartment building.

Around 5 p.m., the emergency services said they have a forecast of approximately 20 minutes.

– It has burned on a balcony and it has spread to the balcony above. We have been there and put it out and are now making sure it has not spread, says Peter Zettersten, alarm and line operator at the greater Gothenburg rescue service.

Shortly after 5 p.m., SOS Alarm states that the ambulance that was on the scene has left and that no one went to the hospital with the ambulance.
