Bison smart: a New Year’s weekend classified orange in the east of the country

by time news

Be careful if you have to drive this New Year weekend. Bison futé has published its motorway traffic forecasts for the passage in 2023, and if these are relatively lenient, some disruptions are to be expected.

If you have to hit the road on Friday or Saturday, don’t worry: the entire territory is classified as green by the services of Bison futé. On the other hand, Sunday, the first day of the year, be careful in the Grand Est, in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

Traffic there is classified as orange and some routes are not recommended by Bison futé: in the direction of returns, reach or cross Île-de-France before 12 noon, avoid the A6 motorway, at the height of the Fleury toll gate (Seine-et-Marne), from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and avoid the A7 motorway, between Orange and Lyon, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

If you are in the Alps, also be careful: the traffic forecast services advise you to avoid the A43 motorway, between Chambéry and Lyon, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., the N90, between Italy and Albertville, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the Mont-Blanc tunnel back to France, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., due to a wait longer than the scheduled time.

Orange forecast extended to Monday

With the resumption of school scheduled for Tuesday, many of you will also be on the road on Monday. Here again, part of France is classified as orange vigilance. These are the Grand Est, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and Île-de-France.

Thus, you are advised to reach or cross Île-de-France before 11 a.m. to avoid any disruption, and to avoid the A10 motorway, at the height of the toll gate of Saint-Arnoult (Yvelines), from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In the rest of France, avoid the A35 motorway, between Strasbourg and Germany, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., and the A6 motorway between Lyon and Beaune, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
