BitBoy Crypto, also known as Ben Armstrong, is in a legal dispute with former business partners over assets he claims as his own. Armstrong has asked the crypto community for donations to help him in the difficult situation. More than $150,000 has already been donated in the last few days. There is speculation that Ben Armstrong still has a fortune worth millions and is simply taking advantage of the situation to generate donations from fans.

Ben Armstrong is begging for donations

Well-known crypto influencer BitBoy Crypto (Ben Armstrong) desperately begged for donations from his fans on X (formerly Twitter). The background to the story is a legal dispute with the HIT Network.

These are former business partners of Ben Armstrong. According to Armstrong, funds in the name of the HIT Network should actually be his property.

In a video tweet from September 20th, the influencer appears emotional and asks his viewers for support. He allegedly received death threats from the HIT Network and was therefore severely traumatized.

In total, Armstrong has already received donations equivalent to more than $150,000 in BTC, ETH, ADA and XRP.

The criticism of Ben Armstrong

There is evidence that Ben Armstrong is soliciting donations from the online community despite his alleged million-dollar fortune. Some observers have shared screenshots of alleged Twitter messages from Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao claiming that BitBoy owns $650,000 in his Binance account alone.

However, these screenshots are apparently fakes.

Furthermore, BitBoy Crypto has been assigned an XRP address that is said to contain approximately $82 million in assets in the form of XRP. However, this is fake news as this address is not under the control of BitBoy, but apparently belongs to the crypto exchange Crypto.com.

????

It is suspected that BitBoy still has larger sums of money. He is known for promoting scam coins and pump-and-dump coins.

His viewers bought the worthless tokens and BitBoy was able to sell his own tokens at high prices. Many X users consider BitBoy to be a scammer who just wants to cheat his viewers again.

His former YouTube channel “BitBoy” was renamed “Discover Crypto” and is now operated by the HIT Network without his involvement.
