Villupuram: “Regarding Erode East Constituency, always after the verdict of the election, the people have to bow down and accept the message given by them. That is important in political democracy. That is how the BJP looks at all elections,” said BJP State President Annamalai.

BJP state president Annamalai met the media in Villupuram on Thursday. He then said: “BJP’s victory in Tripura is a historic victory. Nagaland is a multi-problem state. BJP has taken various steps to solve all those problems. Due to this, the BJP alliance has won there as well. As for Meghalaya, the BJP contested alone. After the election results, it has come to a stage that it is not possible to form a government there without the alliance of BJP. The only reason for this success is Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As many times as the Prime Ministers who ruled India from 1947 to 2014 have visited North Eastern states, Prime Minister Modi has traveled 52 times in the last 9 years. Due to the welfare assistance provided by the central government, the entire northeastern states have come under the rule of the BJP or BJP-affiliated parties.

As far as Erode East is concerned, always after the verdict of the election, the people have to bow down and accept the message that might have been given. It is important in political democracy. That is how BJP sees all elections. Because people have made a judgment.

We have presented many things during the election campaign. We have presented some things even before the counting of votes. We saw how money was played there. So, BJP accepts people’s decision. Parliamentary elections are 13 months away. I said this word when the by-elections started, 2024 election is our election. We are waiting for BJP leaders and volunteers to respond.

This by-election is not a by-election for BJP. So, we have made it clear that we are not competing. All our leaders and volunteers have worked according to the alliance dharma,” he said.

Earlier, while the counting of votes in the Erode East by-election started at 8 am today (March 2), it is noteworthy that the Congress candidate of the DMK alliance, EVKS Ilangovan, has won.
