In Tenkasi municipality, a delicious incident took place when a BJP candidate received his certificate of victory from a female election official wearing a hijab. Similarly, the brother and sister who contested on behalf of the BJP have won in the adjoining wards.

The urban local government elections held in Tamil Nadu were held on the 19th and accordingly the elections for 6 municipalities and 17 municipalities were held in the Tenkasi district and the counting of votes took place.

The BJP agents’ protest against the hijab in Melur in Madurai district during the last few days of the election caused a stir. In this position she is serving as the Tenkasi Municipal Commissioner and a female officer from the Islamic community. This female officer worked wearing a hijab. Successful councilors have received a certificate from that officer.

The BJP agent then disputed which hijab should be removed, but today the BJP member is certified by the hand of the woman wearing the same hijab.
