Election promises
Speaking at an election campaign meeting in Tripura, Indian Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Ram temple built in Ayodhya will be opened on January 1, 2024.
After that, experts said that the BJP will approach this election from the aspect of “temple and nationalism”.
On the other hand, the Left parties of Tripura had accused the BJP of playing politics with religion.
In Meghalaya, the Congress had promised to eradicate unemployment and corruption in the state.
As the number of women is more than the number of men in the 36 assembly constituencies in the state, various parties have made many promises highlighting women.
In Nagaland, the BJP contested the elections with the theme of ‘Let’s develop Nagaland’.
The Congress Party had said that if it forms the government in Nagaland, 33 per cent quota will be given to women in local bodies and a pension of Rs 3000 per month will be given to senior citizens.
