by time news

New Delhi / Kolkata ∙ Exit polls predict continued rule in Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland. In Tripura, 3 out of 4 surveys say that the BJP will retain its rule. At the same time, Times Now-ETG Research indicates that if the CPM-Congress alliance and the Tipra Motha Party join forces, they may get an absolute majority. It is not certain who Tipra Motha will stand with if Trishanku Sabha comes.

Everyone is predicting an absolute majority for the NDPP-BJP alliance in Nagaland. It is predicted that no one will have an absolute majority in Meghalaya and the ruling NPP will be the largest single party. They had already hinted that they would form an alliance with the BJP. Trinamool Congress, which has come to become a new presence in Meghalaya, may get up to 14 seats.

In Meghalaya, which went to polls yesterday, the voter turnout was 77.5% and in Nagaland, 84%.
