Akhilesh Yadav has promised a seat to a sitting BJP MLA who will vacate his seat for UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. With this, sitting MLA Radha Mohan Agarwal will have to vacate for Yogi. With this, Akhilesh promises to give tickets in the same constituency if he comes to SP. He has been the MLA for Gorakhpur Urban since 2002.

Earlier, the BJP had said that he would contest in Ayodhya, Mathura and Prayag Raj. Now look. The BJP has already sent the chief minister to Gorakhpur. The Gorakhpur Urban seat is the BJP’s farewell address to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Akhilesh scoffed. Yogi Adityanath has agreed to contest in Gorakhpur Urban following the intervention of the BJP national leadership. Yogi, who has been to the Lok Sabha five times from Gorakhpur constituency, is contesting for the Assembly for the first time.

Meanwhile, Dharasingh Chauhan, the third minister to resign from the Yogi cabinet, also joined the Samajwadi Party yesterday in the presence of party president Akhilesh Yadav. Chauhan, who was the Forest and Environment Minister in the Yogi cabinet, was earlier a member of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

Earlier, Swami Prasad Maurya and Dharamsingh Saini resigned from the Yogi ministry and joined the SP. Along with the ministers, 6 MLAs had joined the SP. NDA ally Apnadal party MLA R.K. Verma also joined SP last day.
