Kolkata ∙ BJP and Congress blamed each other for the violence in Bengal’s Howrah on the occasion of Ram Navami. Both sides have released videos of violence. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee came out with severe criticism against BJP. They alleged that the move to investigate the incident of violence by the NIA was to save the BJP workers.

This is to escape from the investigation of the state government. Mamata said that they know that BJP workers will be caught if the state government conducts an investigation. Trinamool MP Abhishek Banerjee also came forward with severe criticism against BJP MLA Suvendu Adhikari. Suvendu, who returned to Kolkata after meeting the Union Home Minister, called a public meeting and asked him to watch television the next day. The violence started the next day. Abhishek alleged that everything is being done with the knowledge of Amit Shah.

The Trinamool Congress also accused the BJP of trying to create riots by sending goons from the next state. Following the incident, Amit Shah called Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose and inquired about the information. It is reported that the governor will visit the problem areas soon.
