The BJP has cracked down on two spokespersons who spoke controversially about the Prophet Mohammad and accused him of leading a riot in Kanpur. Not only that, the BJP has issued a statement saying that it has not put forward any ideology or people that denigrates any religion.
The emergence of such signals from the BJP camp, which has been accused of actively promoting such a majority in recent times, which usually promotes Hindu majority, has come as a surprise to political circles.
The reasons for that are being explored.
The BJP has announced that it will suspend BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma from party membership and responsibilities for making objectionable remarks about the Prophet Mohammad in a televised debate. He is said to have made comments contrary to the party’s vision.

Similarly, Naveen Kumar Jindal, the party’s Delhi media chief, was expelled from the party. It has been alleged that his comments on social media are detrimental to social harmony and against the party’s basic principles.

Meanwhile, the party’s national general secretary Arun Singh has issued a press release.
“Every religion has flourished in the millennium of Indian history. The BJP respects all religions. The BJP strongly condemns the desecration of any religious personality.
The BJP strongly opposes any ideology that insults or denigrates any sect or religion. The BJP does not propose such insulting people or philosophy. The Constitution of India gives every citizen the right to practice any religion of his choice and to respect every religion. We are committed to making India a better country where everyone benefits. ”

In many places like UP, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi, there has been an increase in the number of Muslim houses being demolished by the government in recent times. Besides, complaints were raised that there were Hindu symbols in mosques in places like Kasi and Mathura and they were taken to court.
