Is it easy to install an SSD?
It’s so easy! Completely tool-free housing cover removal. In fact, the only screw you need to remove is the screw that holds the SSD slot cover in place. You can’t return it even when you’re done. Sony offers a quick and easy YouTube video guide.
What if the SSD I purchased does not have a heatsink?
Sony recommends installing a solid state drive with a heatsink. If the SSD you buy doesn’t include one, it’s very easy to buy one for about $10 on Amazon and add it yourself. Most of these heatsinks simply attach using adhesive tape such as heat tape.
