Lisa, a member of K-pop’s flagship girl group ‘BLACKPINK’ and a solo singer, has entered the U.S. Billboard’s main single chart, ‘Hot 100’, for the fourth time.
According to Billboard’s social media and other sources on the 26th (local time), Lisa’s new single ‘NEW WOMAN’, which was released on music platforms around the world on the 16th, ranked 97th on the ‘Hot 100’ on the 31st.
Previously, Lisa ranked 84th and 90th on the ‘Hot 100’ with ‘Larissa’ and ‘Money’ in 2021, respectively. Then, with the single ‘ROCKSTAR’ released on June 29th, she ranked 70th on the ‘Hot 100’, recording her highest performance on the chart.
Separately, ‘New Woman’ ranked 6th on Billboard Global (excluding the US) this week.
‘New Woman’ is a song featuring Spanish global pop star Rosalía, who has won numerous awards including the American ‘Grammy Awards’ and the Latin ‘Grammy Awards’. In particular, pop giants Max Martin and Ilya Salmanzadeh participated in producing the song. The music video, filmed in Los Angeles, USA, was directed by renowned music video director Dave Meyers.
Meanwhile, Lisa has been nominated in four categories for ‘Rockstar’ at the ‘2024 MTV Video Music Awards’ (VMA) to be held next month, including Best Choreography, Best Art Direction, Best Editing, and Best K-Pop.
On September 28, he will be co-headlining the large-scale charity concert ‘Global Citizen Festival’ hosted by the international advocacy group ‘Global Citizen’, and will hold his first solo concert. He is also about to make his global series debut with season 3 of the HBO original series ‘The White Lotus’.
