New Delhi | Supreme Court orders merger of FIRs against former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma in blasphemy case. Delhi Police will investigate all the cases registered against Nupur in different parts of the country related to blasphemy. This will also apply to future cases against Nupur on the subject. The court also accepted Nupur Sharma’s contention that there was a threat to her life. The court also said that Nupur would be free to approach the Delhi High Court seeking quashing of the FIRs. The order was passed by a bench of Justices Suryakant and JB Pardiwala.
The respective High Courts will look into quashing the FIRs against Nupur. The court also said that Nupur Sharma’s interim bail will continue till the investigation is completed.
