Blast in Balochistan; Two policemen were killed

Remote controlled blast in Balochistan’s Khusdar district. Two policemen were killed. Two people who were seriously injured in the blast were admitted to the hospital. The news has been reported by the Pakistan-based newspaper ‘Dawn’.

Khusdar Station House Officer (SHO) Mohammad Jan Sasolli told Dawn that one policeman died on the spot and the other at the District Headquarters Hospital in Khusdar. Police have reached the blast site and cordoned off the area. The SHO said that a search is underway at the spot.

Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quduz Bizenjo condemned the incident and expressed his condolences to the families of the martyrs and the injured. He said that such acts of cowardice cannot demoralize the security forces and defeat the scourge of terrorism.

Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langov also condemned the blast and directed the district administration to provide medical aid to the injured.
