Time.news – The US Secretary of State Antony Blink has arrived surprise in Kiev to reiterate “lunwavering support” of Washington and announce new aid for over a billion dollars while the country continues its offensive against Moscow’s troops and a new winter of war hovers on the horizon.
It is the fourth visit by the chief of US diplomacy since the Russian invasion began in February 2022 and comes after Kiev announced a series of successes on the ground, gaining ground near the villages of Robotyne and Novoprokopivka, as it carries out the offensive towards Bakhmut in the east and Melitopol in the south.
Replaced the Minister of Defense of Ukraine
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Parliament has approved with 338 votes in favor and none against the appointment of Rustam Umerov a Ministry of Defensein place of Oleksy Reznikov, sunk by allegations of corruption related to contracts with the Ministry of Defence.
