Blinken will be in London on Monday and Tuesday, and is the highest-ranking US official to go since the Labor Party, led by Starmer, won the July elections, which ended 14 years of conservative rule.
US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said Blinken will participate in a strategic dialogue that “reaffirms our special relationship.”
He added that the discussion will focus on Asia, the Middle East and “our joint efforts to support Ukraine.”
For its part, the White House announced that US President Joe Biden will receive Starmer on September 13, in his second visit to Washington since he was elected by the White House on July 10 to participate in the NATO summit in Washington.
The United States and the United Kingdom have cooperated closely on most international issues, and the Democrats have historically been closer to the Labor Party than the Conservatives.
However, the United Kingdom, led by Starmer, has hardened its stance on the Zionist entity, announcing the suspension of arms export licenses for the entity, and saying there is a “risk” of their use to commit an international violation. humanitarian law in the war between the Zionists and Hamas in Gaza.
The new British government has refused to oppose the request for an international arrest warrant to be issued by the International Criminal Court against Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The United States did not criticize the United Kingdom’s decision, saying that the Kingdom has its own evaluation process.
