Mike Ybarra said that April McKee, the new executive producer of Blizzard Entertainment, has already started planning the details of the event and is expected to hold the BlizzCon event again in 2023.

Prior to this, due to the impact of the new coronavirus epidemic, Blizzard Entertainment cancelled the 2020 and 2021 BlizzCon events one after another, and replaced them with online BlizzConline events. Last year, Blizzard Entertainment decided to cancel all BlizzCon related activities due to the influence of internal sexual harassment, fraternity culture and other issues within the company, but emphasized that the activities will be held in a safe, friendly and diverse and inclusive form, and will continue to communicate with players.

As for the company’s internal issues, Mike Ybarra also emphasized that he will be committed to improving the company’s internal culture, and believes that more interactive emotions can be connected through games, and he also hopes to make the company a better working environment for game creation.
