Traffic on the national road is moving normally Thessaloniki – Neo Moudania, as the farmers with their tractors left at 8.15 pm, with the blockade lasting approximately 2 hours.
The national road Thessaloniki-Polygyrou at the height of Galatista has been blocked from farmers since 7 pm.
National roads are closed
The farmers decided to block the national roads and descend with the tractors in Athens.
In particular, after the meeting in Larissa, it was decided to close the National Roads at the same time, for two hours a day, to hold blockades, rallies and motorized marches in the big cities, while they gave the government a deadline of one week to fulfill their demands.
Otherwise, they will go down with their tractors to Athens.
The farmers put forward six demands, which are common to all and consider their satisfaction crucial. In particular, they request:
- Duty free agricultural oil
- 7 minutes per kilowatt hour of electricity
- Subsidy on supplies and animal feed
- The new CAP should not be implemented and renegotiated
- 100% refunds and replacement of lost income on products
- No to illegal Greekizations
