A bloody incident occurred during the summer special edition of Steffen Henssler’s cooking show. Emergency doctor Carola Holzner immediately provided first aid.
During the summer special edition of the cooking show “Grill den Henssler” an unexpected medical incident occurred on Saturday evening, as reported by the “Bild” newspaper, among others. During the show, comedian Bastian Bielendorfer seriously injured his hand. The incident occurred while preparing the main course, “Turkish grilled sausages with grilled pointed cabbage and potato dumplings.”
Bielendorfer, who prepared the dish together with podcast colleague Özcan Coşar, cut his finger deeply while preparing onions. The comedian’s scream immediately put those present on alert. Moderator Laura Wontorra and host Steffen Henssler reacted immediately when they noticed the incident. “Oh, my God, half of the fingertip is gone,” said Wontorra.
Emergency doctor Carola Holzner, known on social media as “Doc Caro”, immediately took over first aid measures. She instructed Bielendorfer to apply pressure to the wound to stop the bleeding. During the incident, actress Cristina do Rego took over Bielendorfer’s duties for a short time and took care of preparing the onions.
After the treatment, Bielendorfer was able to re-enter the studio and continued his performance with humor. He commented on the situation jokingly and expressed his relief that he was able to continue taking part in the show despite the injury.
Shortly after the incident with Bielendorfer, Coşar also suffered an injury when he burned himself on a hot pot. Here, too, Doc Caro quickly jumped to help.
Despite the chaotic moments, Henssler was able to end the evening with a narrow victory of 111 to 99 points. The summer special of the cooking show thus ended with an exciting finale and a happy ending, despite the unexpected incidents.
