The American news agency Bloomberg released its annual list of the 500 richest people in the world, which placed tycoon Elon Musk in first position.
According to figures revealed this year, around 77% of the billionaires who make up the list saw their fortunes grow in 2023.
In the case of Musk, his net worth was estimated at about 238 billion dollars, which maintains the first place since 2021. The growth of his fortune this year was 101 billion dollars, according to data from Bloomberg.
Second place is occupied by the Frenchman Bernard Arnault, president of the Moet Hennessy-Louis Vuitton (LVMH) group, with wealth that amounted to about 179 billion dollars this year.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was placed in third place, whose earnings reached $178 billion in net worth.
Of the top 15 people on the list, only one billionaire experienced a decline in his fortune. This is Indian tycoon Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, who lost about $36.3 billion, reducing his net worth to $84.2 billion.
