Apple expects to introduce a subscription to iPhone smartphones to boost its revenues. It is reported by Bloomberg.

According to the publication’s editor Mark Gurman, the average iPhone user changes their smartphone every three years. Given that the average cost of a gadget, according to Counterpoint Research, is $ 825, with the introduction of a subscription program, Apple will be able to earn more from users.

It is expected that the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will be available by subscription with an average cost of $799, $999 and $1099, respectively. The same models of smartphones with monthly subscriptions of $35, $45 and $50 for three years should bring Apple $1260 (iPhone 13), $1620 (iPhone 13 Pro) and $1800 (iPhone 13 Pro Max).

Earlier it was reported that the subscription can be tied to an Apple ID account and can be combined with Apple One payments or an extended AppleCare warranty. It is expected that, in addition to the iPhone, the subscription will be available for iPad tablets.

The new service, which does not involve the purchase of devices for permanent use, will appear no earlier than the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023. At the same time, Apple has not officially confirmed plans to introduce a subscription to devices.
