(LaPresse) Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket left West Texas with six ‘space tourists’ on board. On the flight the co-founder of Dude Perfect Coby Cotton, Portuguese entrepreneur Mario Ferreira, British-American mountaineer Vanessa O’Brien, hi-tech leader Clint Kelly III, Egyptian engineer Sara Sabry and telecommunications executive Steve Young . The flight takes place as Blue Origin competes with Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic in space tourism for the future. The New Shepard is named after Mercury astronaut Alan Shepard, the first American in space.
