We’re in the business of spooky stories. We make movies, we make TV, and there’s this massive and growing segment in media and entertainment called games. Space is hundreds of billions of dollars; we are in a great position to try to access it.

Following its low-budget line, the games will also have modest costs – the idea is that game production does not exceed US$ 10 million (approximately R$ 52 million at current prices).

Considering that the production company has already tried to adapt its own films for the gamer market (which did not work out very well), the company will now look for projects in development and will offer the studios financial support, creative vision and the name Blumhouse Games to support the titles.

Blumhouse is not the first film or series production company to get involved in the gaming sector. Disney, for example, also bet on the division with Disney Interactive, which ended up being closed in 2016. In 2021, we also had Netflix entering the gamer industry with Netflix Games — it announced a new studio in October last year and said he wants to explore the cloud service now.
