Chairman of the Law, Human Rights and Legislation Division of the DPP BMI Gilang Dhielafararez said that this year’s Soekarno Run activities were different from before.

Apart from being attended by thousands of runners, this year’s Soekarno Run also involved friends from the disabled community who had been trained by Banteng Muda Indonesia (BMI).

“As one of the wings of the PDI Perjuangan party which focuses on young people, continued Gilang, BMI has a JAGAD (Care for Disabilities) work program which specifically provides vocational assistance to friends with disabilities,” said Gilang, who is also a member of Commission III DPR RI Fraction. In the JAGAD program, he said, so far BMI has provided guidance by providing MSME training aimed at improving the welfare of people with disabilities.

“In the Soekarno Run 2025 activities which were held to celebrate the 52nd anniversary of the PDI Perjuangan this year, we included friends with disabilities. They took part in enlivening the Soekarno Run by providing free reflexology massage for running race participants, and even opening a disabled hair barbershop at the Booth BMI,” said Gilang in the Gelora Bung Karno area, Central Jakarta.

Apart from that, Gilang added that BMI also held various kinds of exciting traditional games for Soekarno Run 2025 participants in the BMI Booth Area.

“So, we also hold various other exciting traditional game competitions, such as gobak sodor competitions, fortifications, rubber jumping, seven plots, stilts, etc. We deliberately play these traditional games because traditional games contain values ​​that can be “The lessons learned for today’s young generation are about solidity and building trust in a work team,” he said.
