BMW do Brasil confirmed three launches for the Brazilian market this year. Leader in sales in the premium segment for four years, with the 3 Series and the X1 as the best-selling models in their segments, the Bavarian brand has confirmed the launch of the electric iX1 and i7 in addition to the sporty M2 later this year.

BMW will also launch special versions and series throughout 2023. Although it has not disclosed when these new products will hit the market, we already know more details about the products.

The first to arrive, which has already been spotted in the country, is the new generation of the M2 sports car. Closer to the M4, it is 10.4 cm longer and has a wheelbase of 5.3 cm. Produced in Mexico, the new M2 boasts a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with 460hp and 56kgfm of torque combined with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission (Steptronic).

The iX1 will be launched in the second half, translating the maximum electric experience into a compact SUV. Based on the new X1, it has a 317 hp engine and 50.4 kgfm with a battery capacity of 64.7 kWh, enough for about 440 km of maximum autonomy.

The i7 is the electric luxury sedan that will also be offered in the country in the second half. Well equipped with two electric motors on each axle, BMW eDrive system and 544hp (400kw) with 74 kgfm. This will be the “flagship” of the brand by integrating the latest technologies in electrification that will also be available in the model offered in the local market.
