BMW gives “wings” to the super sports S 1000RR, which gained a more powerful engine – MinutoMotor

by time news

In the centenary year, BMW is accelerating hard around the world. Here in Brazil, after the arrival of the naked F 900R and the modern classic R18, the brand presented the S 1000 RR 2023. The German super sports car lands on the domestic market in May. The bike is more powerful with 210 hp of maximum power – 3 hp more than the previous version – and 11.5 kilos of torque. Another highlight is the adoption of air deflectors, better known for the small “wings” on the side of the fairings, to leave the bike “glued to the ground”. The S1000RR brings more up-to-date electronics, with emphasis on the Brake Slide Assist and DTC Slide Control systems.

In the power-to-weight ratio, the German super sports car shows efficiency: 195 kilos for 210 hp of power. In terms of electronics, the new digital panel stands out, which can offer seven presentations with different layouts. Much of the electronics and riding modes are ‘configurable’ to suit the rider’s riding style. The model will be offered in four versions, including the “M Package” and “M Carbon”, and three color options: tricolor, red and black. Prices will be announced only in May. Important detail: Brazil is the third largest market when it comes to the sale of the super sports car. It only loses to the United States and Germany.
