The new BMW X1 is expected to revolutionize the Indian market as it is set to launch in India on January 28. The third generation BMW X1 is a compact luxury SUV. A favorite among auto enthusiasts for over a decade, the BMW X1 goes on sale in India on January 28. Its svelte looks, cutting-edge technology and powerful engine options are expected to revolutionize the Indian market. The minimum booking price for this car is Rs.50,000.

Indian customers can choose between petrol (sDrive 18i) or diesel (sDrive 18d) engines for the new BMW X1. And the car is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that churns out 150 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine produces 136 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque, while a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox combines with both engines to transmit power to the front wheels.

Highlights:
The new BMW X1 features a large kidney-shaped grille with chrome on both sides, flat door handles and massive wheel arches. The wheelbase on the new X1 is 22mm longer, 43mm longer, 22mm wider and 43mm higher. Inside, the X1 gets a curved display, 10.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car technologies, redesigned dashboard layout with ATAS features. The new BMW X1 is priced at Rs. 45 lakh (ex-showroom) is expected. The car is expected to compete with Mercedes Benz GLA, Volvo XC40 and Audi Q3 upon launch.
